So our first night home from the hospital Griffin and I were like most parents probably...felt like a deer caught in the headlights not having any idea what to do. We ended up just changing her, feeding her, and then swaddling her like everyone said to do before putting her down in her basinett. Well we sure didn't get a wink of sleep because we stayed up all night listening to Jaylee's noises in our dark bedroom. Each noise worried us. She wasn't crying but she sure wasn't cooing either. After a couple nights of that we experimented not swaddling her and oh my goodness what a difference that made! She slept sooo much better when she wasn't all wrapped up. So now we call her our anti swaddler. When we shared this with Anita she said, "Griffin hated being swaddled too!" She sure is Daddy's little girl.
