March 2013 Festivities

Mom and Dad said goodbye before they moved to Utah...miss them already

Jaylee turned 1YEAR OLD on March 8th!!!!

This is Jaylee opening her favorite type of card...Peekaboo card :)
and opening a book and a dress from a friend
and of course playing with a 1 year old's favorite thing in the world...wrapping paper :)

And opening a Dora the Explorer book reader from Aunti Terry
And of course Jaylee opened lots of beautiful dresses and other thousands of goodies from her Nini (Anita's choice of term for Grandma) :)Here's Twinkie (Anita's cat) claiming territory over the tissue paper. later Jaylee was trying to play with him and got scratched for the first time! :( but she didn't even cry...she just looked down at her arm, touched it and kept playing. It wasn't until later that we noticed the long scratch and saw where he made her bleed! :(
March 17th...St. Patty's Day!
Since Griffin has tons of Irish in him from his Dad's side of the family...it's a big thing in our family. Anita prepared the most yummy Corn beef and cabbage and carrots, a green salad, and even tracked down some of Lucky's Irish soda bread. It was my first time ever having Irish soda bread and this stuff was good!!!! I highly recommend trying it! And i made a simple box cake that i died green and green frosting.
But we couldn't have just a green cake without the green icecream...Mint chocolate chip. (plus a little lemon custard on the side haha)
While we enjoyed our St. Patty's feast, little Jaylee enjoyed doing one of her favorite activities since she was little...tearing up napkins into little pieces. Except now she's much better at not eating it. It was a St. Patty's Day napkin so I think that was her way of celebrating her heritage! :)

Then March 31st was Easter!!!! Anita and I had fun dying Easter Eggs as well as going to see Lamb of God together. Then March 27th was Griffin's birthday and April 2nd was mine. We enjoy being members of a few great restaurants that provide free meals to help celebrate birthdays. On Griffin's birthday we went to Red Robin...yummy! And on mine we went to Chevy's where Anita surprised me by slyly asking the waiter to bring me a big yummy dessert and their traditional sombrero! :) Jaylee especially loved teething on it. She's such just so cute to us.
These are some of the things that happened in the month of March. Another thing is that one of my best friends from high school, Marian Ming Shen, got married! I was a bridesmaid and will have to post a couple non formal pics I took soon.

  2. Loved to see the updates, she has grown a ton since Christmas (or maybe it's that she's always walking now)! Her hair is really coming in too... she is such a doll. We miss you so much!
